Happy Birthday Needles

Thursday, February 21st, 2008

We bless you today, Tammy. We thank you for timely wisdom that you give us daily as you use the beautiful gift of encouragement that God has given you for each of us and you are obedient to write here daily to encourage us. The gift of encouragement God has given you in words are like His when they come through a vessel/servant like yourself.

May you see God smile on you and your family today. See and hear His laughter in the reflection of these wind air balloons each and everyday as they fly over your little southern village to bless you and smile on you and yours.

We Did It

Thursday, August 9th, 2007

We canned 8 qts tomatoes and 5 qts pickles and 1 qt juice for Pastor Gary. The temperatures outside were well over 100 and inside was a little hot as well. We were so joyful and happy that we could remember the lessons our Mother and Grandmother has taught us related to this craft. Thanks for the encouragement you gave us to do this.

Take a look at our ’show-off’ results.

Trust in Your Word

Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

In a recent lesson at our church on Sunday, 1Peter was being studeind and discussed. One thing that had been pointed out was that Pete had exhorted us from a a quote out f the book of Leviticus…to “be ye holy for I AM Holy, saith the Lord.” Peter goes on to admonish us to abstain from worldly lusts and the pride of life and the sin that so easily besets us so that when we are before the people they will see our godly conduct and praise our Father in Heaven.

In Psalm 119:74, it gives, in a way confirmation to what Peter is saying; “they that fear Thee will be glad when they see me, because
they see I have trusted in Your Word.” That is kind of what Gary & Sara both were saying about our conduct before the people of this
age. Then, in Ps. 119:109, there is another witness to what Peter says about living so that when people see how your life is before
them, not giving into lusts and greed and narcissistic ways, so then they will praise the Heavenly Father. It says, “my soul is
continually in my hand.”

Look at darling, Kenlee. Her little bib says “What Santa doesn’t bring me Grandma will.” Well, one can guess what happened. This is Sherrie and Bert’s first granddaughter and Tammy (Needles), great niece. Also, Kenlee’s first Christmas.

Almighty God, you have given us Jesus, Your only-begotten Son through a pure virgin to take away our sins and give us a new nature. We are forever eternal grateful for Your gift to us.

May we, that have been born again, celebrate You and embrace this gift of love by being renewed by Your Holy Spirit, through our LORD JESUS CHRIST this Holy Day as we honor Your Birth.
By Him and in Him, Almighty God, now and forever we pray, Amen

Merry Christmas,
Gary and Sara

“TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE JESUS CAME”

Sunday, December 24th, 2006

“TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE JESUS CAME”

Twas the night before Jesus came and all through the house
Not a creature was praying, not one in the house.
Their Bibles were lain on the shelf without care
In hopes that Jesus would not come there.

The children were dressing to crawl into bed,
Not once ever kneeling or bowing a head.
And Mom in her rocker with a baby on her lap
Was watching the Late Show while I took a nap.

When out of the East there arose such a clatter,

I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter.
Away to my window I flew like a flash
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash!
